Each week in the Philadelphia Ministries' Kid Zone, we're having Bible lessons teaching our children about GOD and specially designed crafts and activities to help underscore the Bible's teaching. Already in this first quarter of 2012 we've learned lessons from the lives of Abraham, Sarah and Gideon. Lessons like:
- GOD will guide us
- Sometimes GOD surprises us
- GOD is more powerful than anybody or anything
We've got more lessons ahead to learn from a man named Jairus and his sick little daughter, some fishermen who kept pulling in an empty net, and from three young men who were ready to sacrifice their own lives for the GOD they had come to love and serve.
We've played tug-o-war, poked needles through balloons without popping them, sliced a banana without cutting it open, and all kinds of other fun activities and tricks to illustrate these Bible stories and lessons.
These lessons are especially designed for kids from ages 4-11. Parents are welcome to drop off children in that age group while they enjoy fellowship and/or Bible study with adults.
Our Kids Zone area is also equipped with toys for infants and toddlers if parents are willing to remain to supervise these younger ones.
